Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 16 January 2018 received UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Afshan Khan.
The two officials confirmed the excellent relations between Croatia and UNICEF, reviewing the activities from the Five-Year Cooperation Programme between the Croatian government and UNICEF as well as its further implementation. They underlined the alignment of UNICEF’s activities in Croatia with the government’s general policy regarding the promotion and protection of children’s rights, in particular with the National Children’s Rights Strategy. Pejčinović Burić expressed strong support for future activities of the UNICEF Croatia Office.
