Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić 4 January 2018 met with Vice President of the Republika Srpska Josip Jerković (Croat) and Minister for Refugees and Displaced Persons Davor Čordaš.
Čordaš and Jerković outlined the issue of Croat people’s status in the Republika Srpska as well as presented programmes and projects aimed at stimulating the return and improving the position of Croats in RS. Pejčinović Burić applauded the efforts by Croat representatives in RS bodies to improve the status and create better conditions for sustainable return. She underlined that the position of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina was one of the current government’s priorities and that Croatia, as its immediate EU neighbour and a Dayton Agreement party, had a special responsibility towards BiH.
