FM Pejčinović Burić meets with EU High Representative Mogherini

On the sidelines of the EU-Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić held talks 24 November 2017 with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The two officials underscored the importance of bilateral meetings as well as direct dialogue, which started in July last year with Mogherini’s visit to Zagreb.

Pejčinović Burić and Mogherini exchanged opinions about the current issues and international activities, with an emphasis on Southeast Europe. Apart from the role of EU institutions and member states, Mogherini underlined the importance of Croatia’s role towards the region and each country individually. The two officials also talked about Croatia’s upcoming Council of the EU presidency in the first half of 2020.
