Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić met 20 November 2017 in Brussels with European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides. The two officials exchanged opinions about the EU’s extant development cooperation and humanitarian aid, as well as about Croatia’s significant contribution to that end in Europe and beyond. Pejčinović Burić and Stylianides also talked about the EU civil protection system and how to enhance it by strengthening solidarity and responsibility, with a special emphasis on readiness and prevention.
