State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić 6 July 2017 in London attended the International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine

State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić 6 July 2017 in London attended the International Conference on Reforms in Ukraine, co-organized by the United Kingdom and Ukraine. The conference gathered a large number of foreign ministers and high officials from the EU, NATO and G7 member countries, along with representatives of civil society and business community. The conference also saw the participation of Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. Its goal was to offer support for the Ukrainian government’s reform efforts, notably the 2017-2020 Action Plan. The discussion revolved around economic growth, human capital, good governance, rule of law, fighting corruption, security and defence as the key reform areas that should help Ukraine in its transition into a transparent and stable democracy. In her address, Bušić underlined Croatia’s contribution to the reform processes in Ukraine, unfolding primarily through the Working Group on Croatia-Ukraine Cooperation set up last year and aimed at transferring Croatia’s know-how in peaceful reintegration and assisting in Ukraine’s EU accession. She also noted the two countries’ intensive high-level bilateral cooperation as well as the humanitarian dimension of Croatia’s support taking place through a series of concrete projects. The conference participants adopted a joint statement applauding the reforms implemented so far and encouraging further efforts to that end.
