The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs expresses deepest condolences to the Egyptian authorities over the 26 May terrorist attack on a bus carrying Coptic faithful to a monastery in southern Egypt, which left 26 dead and at least as many wounded.
We condemn in the harshest terms this ruthless and senseless act directed against faith and innocent people. We sympathise with the Egyptian people and families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
