The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs expresses sympathies over the death of one and injuring of two OSCE monitors in Ukraine and extends condolences to their families, friends and colleagues.
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine is an important instrument in re-establishing peace and security and plays a vital role in the implementation of the Minsk Protocol. Without security there is no OSCE field presence, and without it it’s hard to expect that the political process leading towards a sustainable resolution of the crisis can go on.
