The United Nations Security Council presiding country Ukraine 21 February 2017 organized a high-level political discussion on conflicts in Europe. Croatia was presented by State Secretary for Political Affairs Zdravka Bušić.
Croatia has accumulated a unique experience, both in regard to transforming the UN crisis point instruments as well as post-conflict rehabilitation, building democratic institutions and solidifying the legal state. We offer this know-how to all of the interested partners engaged in building a comprehensive and lasting peace in Europe and around the world. Regarding conflict prevention, Bušić underscored the importance of preventive diplomacy, timely reaction to early warnings, as well as implementing internationally-accepted measures for building trust and security.
