Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Davor Ivo Stier attended a round table on “Croatia’s First 20 Years in the Council of Europe, 1996-2016”, which was held 7 November at the Europe House Zagreb.
The round table was organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in cooperation with the European Movement Croatia and Europe House Zagreb. Keynote address was delivered by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. In attendance, apart from Stier, were participants in CoE accession - Mate Granić, as a special representative of President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who in 1996 was the deputy prime minister and foreign minister; Žarko Domljan, Croatian parliament speaker (1990-1992), then-deputy chair of the House of Representatives, chair of Foreign Policy Committee and head of parliamentary delegation to the CoE Parliamentary Assembly; and Vladimir Matek, then-head of foreign minister’s office and Croatia’s permanent representative to CoE.
