(Hina) - Because Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path is a priority in Croatia's foreign policy, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković's first official visit will be to that country, Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Davor Ivo Stier said on Tuesday.

Stier attended the first meeting convened by newly elected prime minister with his cabinet.

Asked by reporters about the situation in his ministry, Stier said that he was working at "full steam." "As you know, Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path is a priority. I can say that that will be the prime minister's first official visit," Stier said.

He reiterated that one of the focal points in Croatia's foreign policy would be to create a zone of cooperation, particularly in southeast Europe.

"We have a clear intention to create a zone of cooperation, particularly in southeast Europe, and we expect countries in the process of accessing the EU to fulfil all the criteria, just like Croatia did, however we will help them to do that. Our wish is that they truly achieve those standards," he said.

Asked to comment on his participation in the TradFest, a festival of tradition and conservative ideas, Stier said that he believed it was "good for pluralism and democracy to hear the views of Christians in politics, that's healthy for the development of our society."
