Statement by Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miro Kovač on today’s verdict by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia:
“Today’s conviction of war criminal Radovan Karadžić offers little moral satisfaction to the descendants of the victims of his policy of systematic killing and abuse.
Even though Radovan Karadžić has been sentenced, his spirit has not been defeated, nor has the legacy of his criminal and genocidal policy. Only when that is achieved will reconciliation be possible among the people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.”
