The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs strongly condemns North Korea’s testing of a hydrogen bomb. Testing nuclear weapons represents a serious violation of international obligations, notably those pertaining to resolutions 1718, 1874 and 2087 of the United Nations Security Council, as well as a threat to regional and global security.
We call on North Korea to cease all activities regarding the development of nuclear weapons and respect the international law and UNSC resolutions. Furthermore, we appeal that dialogue with the international community be reinstated so that regional and global stability could be achieved.
