The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs today lodged a protest note with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Zagreb, reiterating the demand for the removal of razor wire from all of the areas of Croatia’s territory listed in the previous diplomatic notes, as well as from the blocked border crossings, in accordance with the Agreement on Local Border Traffic and Cooperation. The Republic of Slovenia is one again call on to harmonize its conduct with its international legal obligations.
This time protest was expressed over the erection of razor wire on the Croatian territory in the municipality of Zagorska Sela in the cadastre municipality Poljana Sutlanska from the town of Bratkovec to the Luke Poljanske-Podčetrtek crossing point and in the area of Harina Zlaka-Podčetrtek settlement, the municipality of Štrigova in the cadastre municipality of Sveti Urban between routes Sveti Urban/Veliki Kozlovčak-Kog and Sveti Urban/Mali Kozlovčak-Kog, as well as the municipality of Kumrovec in the cadastre municipality of Ravno Brezje in the area of Risvica-Kunšperk and the municipality of Hum na Sutli in the cadastre municipality Prišlin in the area of Mali Tabor-Rajnkovec.
The protest note also calls on Slovenia to try and resolve with earnest faith in European values and through direct dialogue all of the issues concerning the border between our states.
