RACVIAC Steering Committee met 22 and 23 October in Dubrovnik and marked the Centre’s 15th anniversary. Deputy Foreign Minister Joško Klisović underlined the importance of the role RACVIAC had played in stimulating and spreading dialogue, congratulating on the successful transformation into a modern international organization, through whose activities Southeast European countries discuss present-day security challenges. The ceremony was attended by defence ministers from Southeast Europe and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
At the meeting of the Steering Committee 23 October, Ambassador Vesna Batistić Kos symbolically handed over the RACVIAC flag to the new director, Ambassador Haydar Berk (Turkey), who succeeded Ambassador Branimir Mandić (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation is an international, independent, non-profit and academic organization owned by Southeast European countries, established with the aim of promoting security dialogue and cooperation between the countries of the region and their international partners. The organization is headquartered in Croatia.
