First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić will pay a visit to Macedonia 15 and 16 June to attend a meeting of the Central European Initiative foreign ministers held in Ohrid.

The Central European Initiative (CEI) is a regional organization founded 26 years ago. Croatia joined it in July 1992. The organization numbers 18 member states: Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Ukraine. It is chaired by Macedonia.

Pusić also attended the last year’s conference chaired by Austria. She said on that occasion that CEI had proven itself long ago as a promoter of European values and that its member countries shared the same interests: from cooperation to EU accession.
