First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić sent a message to her Macedonian counterpart Nikola Poposki, extending condolences to the families of the policemen who wounded or killed in the Kumanovo attack.
Pusić also expressed concern over the event, saying that “the deterioration of the security situation is cause for alarm. We call for the competent Macedonian institutions to conduct a transparent investigation as quickly as possible, as well as for all the relevant political and social actors to do everything in their power to avoid heightening tensions, which could further destabilise the country, even the region.” The message also called for a dialogue, necessary for both the current situation and the future of the country.
