Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović paid on Monday a working visit to Paris, where he together with a Croatian delegation attended a meeting of the Council of French-Croatian Entrepreneurs. Klisović held political consultations with French Secretary of State for European Affairs Harlem Desir, after which the two officials signed an Action Plan of the Strategic Partnership between Croatia and France. In 2010 Croatia and France signed a declaration on strategic partnership at the prime ministerial level, while Monday's Action Plan defines priorities in cooperation over the next three years, was drawn up by representatives of nearly all Croatian and French ministries, and aims to strengthen political, economic, defence and security cooperation, as well as cooperation in science and culture.
Croatia's delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister responsible for regional development and EU funds Branko Grčić and also included Director of Investment and Competitiveness Agency Damir Novinić. Grčić informed French entrepreneurs about the current economic circumstances in Croatia and priority projects that are to be financed from EU funds. He also spoke about Croatia's progress and the implementation of economic reforms to advance the investment climate in the country. The meeting was attended by executives of some 30 French companies from the fields of infrastructure and construction, railway and road transport, energy, defence, information and communication technology. Grčić and Klisović individually met with some company executives regarding possible investment opportunities in Croatia.
On Tuesday, the delegation will attend an investment workshop in Monte Carlo, where Klisović is to present Croatia’s investment potential.
