First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Pusić will pay a one-day visit to Albania 16 February

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Pusić will pay a one-day visit to Albania 16 February, where she will meet with her host Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, President Bujar Nishani, Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The talks will revolve around bilateral relations, regional cooperation and cooperation in European integration. During Bushati’s official visit to Croatia in March last year, an agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Council of Ministers of Albania n European partnership, which represents a part of Croatia’s support to Albania’s EU accession and reforms. Another topic of importance will be energy, notably the Adriatic-Ionian Pipeline.

The trade between Croatia and Albania in 2013 totalled EUR 60.4 million. There are numerous Croatian companies operating in Albania: INA, Končar, Dalekovod, IGH, CROSCO, Hidroelektra etc. There are also prospects for strengthening the cooperation in energy (TAP/IAP), transport infrastructure and military-economic sector.
