Meeting with delegation of Iran-Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić met with a delegation of the Iran-Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group, who is on a reciprocal visit

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić met with a delegation of the Iran-Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group, who is on a reciprocal visit.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction over the intensification of bilateral relations, as evidenced by the numerous meetings, from the last year’s visit to Croatia by Ari Larijani and the Croatia-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group’s visit to Iran, to the visit by the Croatian Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee and the political consultations by Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović, who also led an economic delegation on a visit to Teheran. Apart from the prospects of strengthening economic relations, the meeting discussed the situation in the wider region, with leader of the Iranian delegation Nezhad stressing that fighting radicalism required a global approach.

Speaking of the nuclear negotiations between EU High Commissioner Ashton and Iranian FM Zarif, Pusić said it was important that they successfully close by end-November so that communication among the countries that should be partners could be reinstated.
