Twinning light EU affairs coordination project with Lithuania ends

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs 22 September, in cooperation with the European Commission Representation, hosted a closing ceremony of the twinning light on “Strengthening the MFEA Capacity as the National European Affairs Coordinator”

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs 22 September, in cooperation with the European Commission Representation, hosted a closing ceremony of the twinning light on “Strengthening the MFEA Capacity as the National European Affairs Coordinator”.

The results of the projects were presented by Maja Bakran Marcich, Head of the MFEA European Affairs Coordination Directorate, Branko Baričević, Head of the European Commission Representation in Croatia, and Julius Pranevičius, project manager from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The project has been conducted in cooperation with experts from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was aimed at transferring Lithuania’s experiences with improving national EU affairs coordination. During the duration of the project, several workshops and conferences have been held for more than 130 officials from various state institutions as well as representatives of civil society organizations, and drafter proposals for enhancing the national EU affairs coordination system.

The project was worth EUR 250,000, of which 90% were financed by the European Commission and 10% by Croatia. The project lasted six months.
