First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić received the outgoing Irish ambassador to Croatia seated in Ljubljana, Kieran Dowling.
Dowling thanked for the excellent cooperation and announced the arrival of his successor Tim Harrington, the future resident ambassador to Croatia. Pusić and Dowling expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation, as well as with Ireland’s decision to open an embassy in Croatia, which is bound to advance the two countries cooperation. They also discussed the current situation in Croatia and Ireland, in light of the fact that Ireland is one of the countries that are successfully recovering from the economic and financial crisis. Pusić underlined Croatia’s interest in the experiences of conducting reforms, notably those that have spurred competitiveness and economic growth.
Dowling was also received 8 September by Deputy Minister Joško Klisović.
