Marušić: Transferring Croatia’s EU accession experiences to Moldova

At the invitation of Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Hrvoje Marušić and organized by the MFEA Centre of Excellence, a Moldovan delegation is paying a study visit 8 and 9 July

At the invitation of Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Hrvoje Marušić and organized by the MFEA Centre of Excellence, a Moldovan delegation is paying a study visit 8 and 9 July, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iulian Groza.

Marušić congratulated on the recent signing of the EU accession treaty, underlining the importance of the Euro-integration processes in the Eastern Partnership states, as evidenced by the situation in Ukraine. As the youngest member of the bloc, Croatia has special pre-accession experiences, which it is transferring continuously to the EU aspirants. Apart from political consensus, as one of the main components of the EU-Croatia negotiations Marušić stressed communicating to the citizens all of the positive effects of EU membership.

Groza thanked for the consultations, which are important to Moldova as Croatia is a positive example of the Euro-integration process.

The consultations will focus on the EU issues, including individual policies, since the Moldovan delegation consists of deputy internal affairs minister and deputy minister of agriculture and food. The programme entails meetings and lectures on the coordination of EU affairs, aligning the legislature and EU informing, as well as talks with the relevant ministries (the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of the Interior).
