First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić 1 July held talks with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretaries of State for Energy Diplomacy Amos Hochstein and for European and Eurasian Affairs Hoyt Yee, who were also received by Deputy Minister Joško Klisović.

The talks revolved around Croatia’s priority energy projects, the LNG terminal in Krk and the Ionian-Adriatic Pipeline (IAP), which are wholly endorsed by the U.S. side. The officials also discussed the European energy security, as well as a way for Croatia to join the diversification of Ukrainian energy supply, namely by developing an Adriatic gas corridor which would link the gas networks of Croatia, Hungary and Ukraine.
