Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Željko Kuprešak 5 June held political consultations with B-H assistant foreign ministers Amer Kapetanović and Zoran Perković.
The B-H side thanked Croatia and its citizens for the solidarity and assistance in dealing with the consequences of the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Croatia was the first country to come to Bosnia’s aid, which its citizens sincerely appreciate and are grateful for. The interlocutors also discussed the dynamic of further flood relief activities.
Kuprešak reiterated Croatia’s full support for Bosnia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, expressing Croatia’s willingness to share its vast EU negotiations experience with B-H.
In terms of intensifying the good neighbourly relations, the interlocutors identified areas in which cooperation could be further advanced, namely economic relations, investments and joint appearances on third country markets. They also talked about the prospects of resolving outstanding issues, notably preserving the traditional trade between the two countries, as well as the question of goods flow though the Neum Corridor.
The two sides underlined the importance of cross-border cooperation in the development of joint projects, especially for citizens living along the border. Also considered were the prospects of further cooperation within regional initiatives.
