First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić and Deputy Minister Joško Klisović held separate talks with a Japanese delegation led by Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Nobuo Kishi

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić and Deputy Minister Joško Klisović held separate talks with a Japanese delegation led by Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Nobuo Kishi. Both sides agreed that the two countries had no outstanding issues, but that there was room for improving economic cooperation, notably in infrastructure, tourism and energy. The Japanese delegation was informed about Croatia’s highly-skilled workforce as well as the possibility of importing Japanese products through Croatian ports and free zones, linked by road and railway with other European destinations. Pusić and Klisović thanked for the visit by royal couple Akishino in June, commemorating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The talks also mentioned Japan’s continuous development aid to Croatia as well as assistance in demining. The Japanese side thanked for Croatia’s help following the earthquake and tsunami two years ago.
