MFEA on Ukraine’s decision to postpone signing agreements with EU

The Republic of Croatia has taken note of the news about the Ukrainian Government’s decision to postpone preparations for the signing of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU

The Republic of Croatia has taken note of the news about the Ukrainian Government’s decision to postpone preparations for the signing of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU.

Implementing European reforms is a long, demanding and all-encompassing process in which Ukraine has so far made significant progress. We are convinced that all of the reforms the offered agreements entailed were aimed exclusively at the benefit of the Ukrainian people and Ukraine’s economic prosperity.

We have also taken note of the Ukrainian authorities’ explanation regarding all of the problems they have been facing lately, notably those of economic nature. We are hopeful that Ukraine, in keeping with the promises that have been made, will continue to work on implementing reforms and developing relations with the EU, which we believe will contribute to further progress of this European country.
