Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Nebojša Koharović held political consultations with Montenegrin delegation led by Željko Perović, the Director General for Bilateral Affairs, and Biljana Šćekić, the Director General for Economic Diplomacy and Cultural Cooperation of the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The support Croatia is offering Montenegro in its EU accession, both on political and expert level through the Centre of Excellence, is an added value in our bilateral relations, while the solving of outstanding issues through a constructive approach can serve as an example of good-neighbourly politics. The talks also focused on the new agreements on cross-border regime and border crossings between Croatia and Montenegro, in accordance with the European legislature following Croatia’s EU entry.
Both sides agreed that the good political relations between Croatia and Montenegro had a positive effect on trade as well.
