First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić is to officially visit Vilnius, Lithuania, 6 and 7 September.
On 6 September she is to meet with Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius and Parliament Speaker Vydas Gedvilas, as well as pay a visit to the European Institute for Gender Equality.
On the same day, an informal meeting of foreign ministers (Gymnich) will start, to be chaired by EU High Representative Catherine Ashton, and will discuss Europe’s future security and defence, as well as issues concerning the Eastern partnership and Southern Neighbourhood.
The US Secretary of State John Kerry plans to attend the session on 7 September and talk about the progress of the Middle East peace process, as well as other important issues on the international agenda. The discussion will also be attended by Chairman of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Elmar Brok.
