First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić sent a letter of condolence to US Secretary of State John Kerry following the tragic events in Boston.
Expressing condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and herself, Pusić said that the Boston Marathon “always represented a ‘cradle of liberty’, a place and time for people to come together” and that is why yesterday’s tragedy cuts even deeper for the country and all the people who share the same values. We are horrified by this senseless act of violence and hope those responsible would be brought to justice, reads the minister’s letter.
