Assistant ministers Koharović and Batistić-Kos meet with Romanian MFA state secretary

Assistant ministers Nebojša Koharović and Vesna Batistić-Kos 5 April held consultation with the State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu. State Secretary for Strategic Affairs Aurescu said Croatia was Romania’s important partner in the region, which will especially come into play when Croatia joins the EU.

The officials discussed the continuation of Croatia-Romania cooperation within regional organizations such as SEECP, RCC, CEI and the Danube Commission, as well as cooperation within the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, which Romania is one of the initiators of.  

The meeting reviewed the current situation in Southeast Europe as well as the political situation in the Eastern Partnership countries.

Also discussed was the continuance of cooperation within multilateral forums, including joint activities and initiatives within the relevant international organizations.
