Minister Pusić talks with French ambassador about Croatia festival, cooperation on humanitarian and development issues

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić today received on inaugural visit the French Ambassador to Croatia, Michele Boccoz, thanking her for the ratification of Croatia’s Accession Treaty

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić today received on inaugural visit the French Ambassador to Croatia, Michele Boccoz, thanking her for the ratification of Croatia’s Accession Treaty, which is not only a proof of friendship, partnership and understanding, but an “invitation to continue building the democratic standards and strengthening the democratic values of the EU.”

Boccoz said the Croatie, la voici festival in France was a great success and gave Croatia a lot of profile in the media and the public. Pusić said parts of the exhibition would be used to promote Croatia in other countries as well.

Pusić informed Boccoz about the progress of the ratification process, the recent meeting with her Slovenian counterpart Erjavec and the two prime ministers’ talks on the fringes of the European Council’s meeting in Brussels the previous week.

Boccoz stressed that Croatia’s EU membership was equally important for Croatia, the EU and the countries of the region. She added that apart from Croatia-France cooperation on humanitarian and development issues, the two countries could also cooperate through the Union for the Mediterranean.
