On the margins of the meeting of the Task Force for Egypt in Cairo, Minister Vesna Pusić had a meeting with Egyptian tourist industry. Egyptian Minister of Tourism Hisham Zazou, who is also attending the meeting of the aforementioned Task Force, stressed the need for a direct flight between Egypt and Croatia, as well as the possibility to organize tourist cruises. Assistant Minister of Tourism Želimir Kramarić, who also attended the meeting, stressed the importance of the pending meeting of tour operators, because both sides are interested in a greater number of visitors.
Minister Pusić presented the initiative for the organisation of training i.e. practical course in Croatia for students and tourism professionals from Egypt. As one of the interesting activities in this context the Minister mentioned “Gourmet tourism“ i.e. the possibility to exchange top chefs from Egypt and Croatia or, for instance, to organize Days of Croatian Cuisine in Egypt, so that both countries may teach each other about autochthonous delicacies.
