Minister Pusić holds talks with her Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca

Leanca said his country wanted to learn from Croatia’s European integration experience. “If we want progress, we have to go the way of European integration”, he said

Moldova wants to sign the EU Association Agreement and the Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement by the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius the next fall, Leanca said. He pointed out that Moldova was making progress in the visa liberalization negotiations.

Pusić said that the EU negotiations should be used as an opportunity for state institution building, on the basis of which society could be then built, adding that Moldova’s European prospect was also in the interest of the EU itself.

The two ministers signed the Agreement on European partnership, based on which and through its Centre of Excellence Croatia would transfer the experience gained during the negotiating process.

During his visit to Zagreb, Leanca also met with Parliament Speaker Josip Leko and Deputy Prime Minister Neven Mimica.
