After the reception at Zagreb airport, Clinton held talks at Banski dvori with Prime Minister Zoran Milanović and Foreign Minister Vesna Pusić. Later on, she met with President Ivo Josipović.
The talks focused on Croatia’s role as a NATO partner, Croatia’s EU accession and the two countries’ economic relations. Clinton arrived in Zagreb after visiting Algeria, where she requested support for curbing the Islamist threat in neighbouring Mali, and brief visits to the countries of Southeast Europe, where she called for reforms and dialogue.
