Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić 26 September 2012 attended as part of the UN General Assembly in New York the high level meeting marking the first anniversary of the Open Government Partnership

The reception was organized by Great Britain and initiated by US President Barack Obama, who on his first day in office had signed the Memorandum on Transparency and Open Government, designed to bridge the gap between the government and the citizens, and usher a new era of open and responsible government. Croatia acceded in September last year, when President Ivo Josipović attended the launch of the initiative. The Open Government Partnership Council in Croatia, chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović.

The same day Pusić attended the reception organized by President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
