Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić 14 September 2012 in Riga met with her Latvian counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs.
The two ministers discussed the situation in the region and the possibility of transferring the Baltic states’ model of cooperation to Southeast Europe. Pusić said it was crucial that Southeast Europe retained the European perspective, to which Croatia is contributing with its experience from the negotiating process through the Centre of Excellence. Rinkēvičs said the two countries had no outstanding issues and that Latvia had already ratified Croatia’s EU Accession Treaty.
Pusić arrived in Latvia to attend the Riga Conference 2012.
