Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Vesna Pusić sent a letter of condolence to American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding the murder of American Ambassador Christopher Stevens

“On behalf of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and personally, I would like to express our deepest condolences to you and the American people concerning the tragic death of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.

I was deeply shaken by the news of the brutal attack on the American Consulate in Bengasi and the death of the officials who put their jobs and their country ahead of their own lives. We strongly condemn this outrageous terrorist act that will not frighten all of those who are working together to promote the values of freedom, democracy and stability and we hope that this sacrifice will lead towards peace and stability in Libya.

Croatia remains an ally of the United States of America in the battle against terrorism, and sympathizes over the terrible loss of the lives of people who lived and died protecting the greatest values.”, stated the letter of condolence by Minister Pusić.
