Croatia and Italy have a common interest - stability of this region, the two ministers agreed. Terzi said that Croatia's sharing of experience and knowledge with its neighbours in the region was very important and valuable.

Speaking of the need for all countries in the region to have a prospect of EU membership, Pusić and Terzi stressed the importance of meetings and talks held at the recent Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik. The two ministers also discussed bilateral relations, which they described as very good, expressing confidence that with Croatia's pending EU accession and cooperation within initiatives such as the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative their relationship would become even stronger, which would be in their mutual interest.

Pusić thanked Italy for the quick ratification of Croatia's EU Accession Treaty.
