Pusić meets Moroccan Foreign Minister Othmani

Pusić said Croatia was interested in cooperation

Pusić said Croatia was interested in cooperation, both bilateral and through multilateral organizations, namely the UN.

She thanked Othmani for the oncoming opening of Moroccan embassy in Zagreb.

Pusić held talks with Kosovar Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj. The two officials discussed the situation in the region and its countries’ efforts to join the EU. She said Croatia was willing to assist through its knowledge and experience.

With Irish Minister of State for European Affairs Lucinda Creighton Pusić talked about priorities of the Irish presidency in the first half of 2013, which will include economic development and ratification process. Creighton expressed satisfaction with Croatia’s progress and said the ratification process was expected to be completed this fall.

Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean Fathallah Sijilmassi said he was pleased that the Croatia Summit discussed the Southern Mediterranean. “We are trying to promote the Union for the Mediterranean as a coordination of different initiatives”, said Sijilmassi.

Pusić thanked him for visiting Croatia, adding Croatia’s interests lied in developing and stabilizing not only the region but the Southern Mediterranean also.

The participants expressed satisfaction with the summit, as well as with the discussions they held during both the panel and the various bilateral talks.
