The participants commented on the current state of affairs concerning the Euro-Atlantic integration process in the countries in the region, stressing the importance of its continuation and speeding up. They highlighted the importance of regional cooperation, notably in terms of joint engagement in the ISAF.

In her address, Pusić commented on the NATO summit recently held in Chicago and messages sent from the summit to the countries of the region, notably Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In that context, Croatia was satisfied with the message of US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton that the next NATO summit should be an enlargement summit. Croatia strongly supports the three countries' NATO membership aspirations, Pusić said, adding that Croatia would continue to assist Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina along their Euro-Atlantic path with its specific knowledge and experience.

Pusić also presented the planned programme of activities for Croatia’s coming chair of the US-Adriatic Charter, scheduled for the second part of 2012.
