The Sofia Forum was organised by the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the German Marshall Fund and included the participation of high ranking officials of European Union Member States, representatives from the Southeast European countries, the United States, Near East and Northern Africa, and representatives of scientific institutions and foundations.
The Forum discussed the role of the Balkans in the globalised world and the integration of the region into Euro-Atlantic processes. Several speakers stressed the role and example of Croatia in these processes. As part of the panel, Minister Pusić held a speech in which she stressed the importance of the European Union enlargement process.
