Pusić briefs diplomats on Croatia Summit

The Croatian Government for the 7th time in a row will host the Croatia Summit

The Croatian Government for the 7th time in a row will host the Croatia Summit, themed “State Building and the EU Experience” and organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs July 6-7 in Dubrovnik. Prime ministers, foreign ministers and representatives of European and North American countries have been invited to attend, as have, for the first time, officials from South Mediterranean countries.

Pusić said the summit would address the effects of the accession process and post-conflict transition on state systems, state institutions and society in general. “That's why for the countries of Europe's southeast, as well as the southern Mediterranean, Croatia's experience can be very useful because it went through both segments, post-conflict state building and institution building, as part of its EU accession process”, said Pusić.

The summit will also discuss the European perspective as a generator of social and political change, state building in post-conflict societies, political and security challenges, as well as partnership and institution building in the southern Mediterranean.
