Celebration of Croatia’s 20th UN admission anniversary held in Zrinjevac Park

The ceremony was attended by President Ivo Josipović, Deputy Prime Minister Neven Mimica and UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Croatia Louisa Vinton.

This was the first in a number of events to be held in order to mark the 20th anniversary of Croatia's admission to the UN, while on 29 May the central ceremony will be held in the Croatian Parliament. Alongside top Croatian officials, the ceremony will also be attended by former foreign officials who participated in the process of Croatia’s recognition and UN admission.

As part of the ceremony, a round table discussion will be held on “The Time of Croatia’s International Recognition and UN Admission” and “Two Decades of Croatia’s UN Membership: Challenges and Achievements”.
