Ministry launched two-day International Francophone Seminar on EEAS

The goal of the seminar is familiarization with the structure and functioning of the European External Action Service

Opening remarks were delivered by Diplomatic Academy Director Mladen Andrlić, Head of the Directorate for Support to Croatia's EU Accession Process Zvonimir Frka-Petešić, and French Ambassador to Croatia Jérôme Pasquier.

The goal of the seminar is familiarization with the structure and functioning of the European External Action Service (EEAS), as well as cooperation between the EU institutions in terms of harmonizing and implementing the external action priorities. The lecturers are experienced foreign diplomats from EEAS and other EU institutions. The seminar is being attended by 26 participants, mostly diplomats, including three officials from Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The seminar is being organized by the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, in cooperation with the National School of Administration (ENA) from Strasbourg, as part of this year’s cooperation programme with the International Organization of the Francophonie.
