A joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed by Croatia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Ranko Vilović, and the permanent representative of the Solomon Islands to the U.N., Collin D. Beck.
Vilović and Beck exchanged views on the two countries' priorities in the U.N. and in general, the work of the two permanent missions, future candidacies and the current state of affairs in the world. The two officials also praised the cooperation between their countries’ permanent missions in New York.
The Solomon Islands has been unconditionally supporting all of Croatia's candidacies in the U.N. bodies.
