Slovenian military ship entered Croatian waters

Pusić immediately contacted Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec

Following the warning, Pusić contacted Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec, requesting an explanation for the situation which was contrary to the spirit of the Border Arbitration Agreement and detrimental to its implementation.

Minister Erjavec said that, according to Slovenian sources, there had been no entering of Croatian territorial waters.

The Foreign and European Affairs Ministry recalls that an integral part of the Border Arbitration Agreement, which was discussed at official talks during last month's visit by the Slovenian Foreign Minister to Zagreb, is based on both countries' refraining from acts of provocation, incidents and disputable situations until the arbitral tribunal makes a ruling.

In that regard, the ministry expresses hope that there will be no similar situations in the future, recalling that the arbitral tribunal will start consultations with both sides in mid-April.
