Pusić thanked the Czech Republic for assisting and supporting Croatia along its road to EU membership

Pusić thanked the Czech Republic for assisting and supporting Croatia along its road to EU membership. Kühnl told Pusić that the ratification of Croatia’s Accession Treaty was already underway and expected to go smoothly.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the friendly bilateral relations, pointing out the possibility of advancing the economic cooperation. Pusić said that Croatia welcomed Czech investors and that the government was taking measures to create a positive investment climate and attract foreign investment.

Discussing the state of affairs in Southeast Europe, the two officials voiced support for the Eurointegration course of all the region’s countries. Pusić informed the Czech ambassador about the topics of this year’s Croatia Summit, set to focus on Croatia’s transition experiences, which could benefit other countries of Europe’s southeast and the South Mediterranean in their building of institutions.

Ambassador Kühnl briefed Pusić on the initiatives the Czech Republic had launched during its presidency over the Visegrad Group. He also voiced the country’s willingness to attend the oncoming Donor Conference in Sarajevo, aimed at raising finance as part of the regional program on housing refugees and displaced persons.
