Pusić and Netshithenzhe confirmed the two countries’ friendly relations and discussed the development of bilateral relations on the political and economic fronts, underlining the need for officials to exchange visits more frequently. They agreed the improvement of relations in all areas was of mutual interest and expressed confidence that Croatia's accession to the EU would contribute to the strengthening of Croatia's cooperation with South Africa.
Netshithenzhe was also received by Deputy Minister Joško Klisović. The two officials launched the signing of a number of bilateral agreements, notably the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation and the Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
The ambassador briefed on the situation in South Africa, namely the government’s projects to reduce unemployment, educate the youth, stimulate the development of rural regions, improve health and education, and cut crime.
