Due to the gravity of the situation and the population's humanitarian needs, Croatia stresses the need for allowing the delivery of relief aid and access to Homs, which is a clear and unambiguous obligation of the Syrian authorities.
Croatia's permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Vesna Vuković, officially informed today UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres that Croatia would financially support relief programmes for Syrian refugees and displaced persons in Lebanon and Jordan, as well as those displaced in Syria.
