Minister Pusić held press conference on next week’s visit by Croatian president to Israel

Pusić announced that the delegation, scheduled to stay in Israel 12-16 February, would meet with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Parliament Speaker Reuven Rivlin

Pusić announced that the delegation, scheduled to stay in Israel 12-16 February, would meet with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Parliament Speaker Reuven Rivlin. Pusić will hold talks with her Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman.

The delegation will also visit the Croatian troops deployed as part of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force on the Golan Heights.

The talks in Israel are expected to focus on the strengthening of cooperation in science, technology, higher education, and tourism, with one of the topic being centers of excellence as possible areas of bilateral cooperation in the future.

The delegation will visit Palestinian National Authority and meet with its President Mahmoud Abbas.

Pusić also announced that the current Croatian Ambassador in Cairo Darko Javorski would take over as non-residential special representative to the Palestinian National Authority, whereby Croatia would establish the same relations with the Palestinian National Authority that most of the other EU members have.
